NADINE’S SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
Nadine Williams will speak about how a certain serendipity, fearlessness and a fascination with France created an eclectic life.
She has recently retired after a 20-year career as a journalist at The Advertiser where she has focused
on women’s issues, relationships and cultural issues. She established the women’s issues round at The Advertiser in 1993 and became gossip columnist, cultural issues writer and supplements editor. She is included in the Who’s Who of Australian Women. She was awarded the Mitchell Media Award, the Centenary Award and the Archbishop’s Citation for Print Media Excellence in 2007. She began to learn the French language in 2001, a move which metamorphosed her life, leading to one more chance at love and commitment. She is the author of the best-selling debut book, From France With Love, an endearing, yet honest, fiery account of finding love in mid-life – in France. She attended Concordia College, is a mother of three adult children, has been divorced twice and achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism as a mature-age student. She is also an award-winning travel journalist and brings all of these disciplines to bear in From France With Love.
