Reviews

Part of an email from Paula,  Meadows, SA.

Hello Nadine,

A week ago my son and daughter in law gave me From France with Love…  Colleen was aware I had attended Concordia  College with you  and a friend had mentioned the book to her.  I was aware of it as I live in Meadows and had read about your book launch in the Courier.  At the time, the way the book was promoted I was sceptical and did not think it would interest me.
How wrong I was!   I was completely taken with the book for many
 reasons.
I was fascinated with the extent of your wanderings through
Paris and other areas of France.  I would have appreciated a map.  I enjoyed the food and wine and was amazed at the extent of food that so many people prepared for you.  No wonder you put on weight!  And I appreciated your approach to your relationship, which I thought I would cringe at; and how you analysed  the relationships of the people you met.  Also I was aware of some similarities with myself…

Note from Nadine:  The reprint of FFWL has a map…

Nadine, I have read the book and am filled with envy at your dilly-dallying – and dalliance – in France.

Have read the book; Olivier’s tolerance is to be commended!

Nadine, I found your book in my letter box when I returned from France last week. It took me no time to read it. I just love it. Being French, married to a Dane and living in Denmark, I associate so much with your account. I like the honest and sober way to tell your story and I was delighted to see your reaction to some of the places you visited and that I know well. I also submitted a review on amazon.com.uk. Take care and thank you for sharing this part of your life with us.
