My book: From France With Love – A love Story with Baggage

From France with Love After two failed marriages, she has sworn never to succumb to another man’s charms. He is grief-stricken after the death of his wife of forty-odd years. So Nadine and Olivier are both unprepared when their friendshup unexpectedly blossoms into love.

Nadine is Australian born and bred, Olivier is very French, yet in spite of all their differences and defences, they find a precious intimacy they want to build on. But can their love survive a road trip around France when the dream holiday becomes a harrowing test of wills and cultural clashes?

From France with Love is an endearing yet honest, fiery account of the bittersweet experience of finding love in mid-life. This romantic true tale proves that what matters is the journey, not the destination.  Purchase Book Online! or email nadinefwilliams(at)gmail(dot)com

Hi Nadine, I adored your book and meeting you and Olivier, and how it reminded me of my similar experience (without a charming French lover of course). I have noted all your little villages you visited and googled most of them because I would love to see them myself. I feel I have done my own little trip round France as well. I dont know how you could eat all those big lunches you describe. By the end of your book, I was desperate to cook some French Onion Soup to take to friends for the weekend. So thank you Nadine for this little journey. I loved it where Olly got down on his knees and proposed to you. He sounds too good to be true!

I’m just finishing off this book. It was a lovely read =) It’s always an interesting experience to learn about yourself and a road trip about France sounds so promising!

    Hi Nadine.
What an absolute delight your novel was to read. I couldn’t wait to get into bed each evening to see where the next installment would take me: a fabulous long, rich lunch that made me hungry, a medieval village that made me want to travel even more or a romantic hissy fit that made me laugh out loud. A great escape and a great insight into life on so many levels. I look forward to seeing the film. Love to you and Olivier.

I am studying this book at school at the moment, everyone else is reading boring ones, thank god I picked this up, it’s a great novel!

    • By nadine, 06/03/2012 @ 10:25 pm

Hi Kayla,I’m delighted with my email, however, From France With Love is not actually a novel, it’s my memoir. It all happened to me and here’s something to keep under your belt. I married Olivier four years ago in 2008. I would love a copy of whatever you write about it for your school assignments. Kind regards, Nadine Williams
